establishing your estimate
Determining your production needs is key to budgeting and pre-production.
Establishing the following items, for instance, will likely help you (and us) narrow the field to assist you in quickly and effectively producing and/or casting your project.
What we need from you to get started:
- Who’s producing?
- What’s the project? (i.e. film, commercial, television, corporate narration, web, infomercial, etc.)
- How soon do you need it? Is there a specific airdate or timeline you’re working with?
- Do you currently have a budget?
- Do you have a script?
- How soon do you expect to have a workable script for auditions and/or recording?
- Will you need casting for on- or off-camera, or both?
- How many talent will your project require?
- Will your project require us to hold auditions?
- If voice-over only, do you prefer to cast directly from demos?
- Is your project Union or non-Union? Unsure? (We can help with that.)
- Will your project require both casting AND audio production, only casting, or only audio?
- If you only need audio recording or production, how long do you expect the final production to be?
- How long is the current script in pages?
- Will your project require a producer?
- Will the production require (original or library) music, sound effects, patching with another studio, mixing, editing, mastering or any other specifics?
- Is the production intended for broadcast, if so what forms of media? (network television, cable, Internet, radio, theatrical, promotional, etc) And how long do you anticipate to air it or use it for promotion?
- What format(s) will you need the final product delivered? (via ftp, mp3, AIFF, WAV, other)
Once we have this information we will then set out to prepare your estimate and will email it to you, ideally, within an hour.*
